About
Hi Beautiful! Welcome to Women's Health Matterz Blog!
My name is Christina Androulakis and I have created this blog to be an educational and safe space to learn more about the struggles that women face in daily life and how to implement better health and wellness in our daily routines. On this blog I will be discussing all Women's Health "Matters" - you can giggle I know it's cringy.
A Little Bit About Me:
I am a senior at Monmouth University studying psychology and I am also completing my senior thesis project at the moment which is so scary!!. I will be graduating in May with my B.A. in Psychology and I felt this blog was a great way to learn more about the field that I will be entering very soon! I am also applying to graduate schools with dreams of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor and becoming a therapist for teens and young adults.
My passion has always been to help as many people as I can whether that be volunteer work, supporting my friends, being kind to strangers, or going into a profession where I get to serve others. I have been a part-time content creator for about three years now and have loved building my audience of genuine and supportive people who are interested in becoming the best version of themselves. Content creation has allowed me to work with so many amazing brands and spread positivity to the world. I hope this blog helps you to feel more confident in your own skin and be more informed about issues that involve your health and wellness.
Inspiration
What inspired me to create this particular blog was my Psychology of Women class which I took this fall. I felt so many of the things I was learning were completely new to me even though I have been a woman my entire life. I wanted to share that knowledge with as many people as possible and !BAM! this blog was born.
There are so many things that women go through that are completely overlooked and ignored by society and the only way things will change is if someone talks about it so that's me :). I am also enrolled in a Women's Health course which will also be my inspiration for many of my blog posts. The content you can expect in the upcoming weeks will include topics of women's health news, healthy recipes, government policies related to women, aging, motherhood, self-care and coping skills education, mental health organization research, sexual violence prevalence and prevention, interviews, and other resources. Don't worry I will also be discussing the male perspective, LGBTQ+ experiences, gender roles and expectations, and men's mental health along the way because all gender identities relate to women's lives and experiences!
I will also be spilling details about my personal experiences, my day-to-day routines, fashion inspiration, beauty tips, college advice, and more. Comment on my recent Instagram post if you have any topics you would be interested in hearing or learning about on this blog! I'm super excited to have you here on this journey!
